1 out of 5 stars Not worth the money   March 10, 2010

I just bought a Sig 522 for plinking and wanted a scope that wouldn't break the bank and would look good on the rifle. I was so excited when my scope came and was happy to see that it was well built and very sturdy on the rifle. As soon as I turned it on, all my excitement fluttered away. The T-Dot recticle was NOT SHARP at any brightness setting. It was even a bit tilted! I thought maybe I had just gotten a defective product so I ordered a replacement scope from Amazon. When I opened the second scope, it had the exact same problem as the first except now the green recticle started blinking. Wow! I'm just extremely disappointed in this Bushnell product. I don't understand how it has gotten so many good reviews. Maybe others just have lower standards for their scopes than I do. In the end, I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I do have to have to add a note for Amazon.com and their fantastic customer service and return policy. So easy to make a return and get your refund...especially since I did it twice for the same thing!

2 out of 5 stars Don't go cheap!   March 2, 2010

Horrible product. I have used Bushnell products for year and i know their customer service reputation but this scope is complete crap. The T is tilted about 5 degrees clockwise, The green T's flicker and the red T you have 5 settings but it really seems like 2 Dull, and Bright. The wind-age adjustment does extream right but bairly to the right. the one thing i do have to say is decent about this scope is that it appears to be built sturdy(The only reason for the 2 stars). Main story about the scope, don't go cheap, save a little more and buy a decent scope.

5 out of 5 stars Just what I needed!   February 28, 2010

I compared red dots from many manifactures at local sporting stores but all that came to a stop when I picked up this sight. The finest lines and smallest dot make this a precision instument. The adjustable brightness is great for low or no light conditions. I put this on a Smith & Wesson 22 pistol and now bulls eyes are no problem at 50 yards. Haven't moved out farther yet. I also like how quick your eye picks up the reticle from any distance. The "T" design makes target shooting just to easy!

3 out of 5 stars Okay for the money   February 26, 2010

I bought this because I wanted a holographiic sight for my new M&P 15 and I have had an overall good experience with it. The sight however does NOT sit squarely on the integrated picatinny rail on top of the receiver, it sits slightly crooked and will not mount dead center no matter what. The back of the sight is off to the weapon's right side and is not noticable by just casually looking at the sight but when I use the rear sight to look through it, it is VERY noticeable. Also, the screws used to tighten the sight to the rails are somewhat soft. Recoil was making them loosen at the range and when I tightened them down a bit more tightly they started to warp in the groove that the screwdriver fits into, leaving a less than pleasing look to them. Philips head or hardened screws would be better as this is something that is inherent with most flat head screws, or so it seems. The sight is very bright at the highest levels and has several different levels of brightness for both the red and green dots. The T in the sight made it extremely easy to initially "bore sight" my rifle by using the front and rear sights as guides and it was easy to adjust for the final settings. Overall, a good sight, but not a great one by any means.

1 out of 5 stars Junk! - don't waste your money   February 18, 2010

I purchased this item for my AR-15 and was disappointed as soon as I opened the package. I own several Bushnell scopes and have been very happy with their product quality in the past. The housing had several casting defects and the overall finish had many blemishes. Green dot is more of a pale yellow. Red dot does not dim proportionally. Settings 5-2 are all the same intensity with a step change at setting 1. On/Off setting is defective and the illumination seems to turn it self on with the slightest bump. Moral of the story; don't waste your money. I didn't return the product due to the 15% restocking fee + shipping. I might put it on my pellet gun. You get even less than you pay for with this one. If you are putting this on anything that costs more than $100 don't waste your money and buy an Aimpoint or a Trijicon.
