Product Description Propper ACU uniforms are built to military specifications (MIL-44436) with vat-dyed 50% Nylon / 50% Cotton ripstop fabric. The ACU Trouser features a leg cuff with front closure tie, which allows for more comfortable closure on the outside of the boot collar. Also features knee pouches with hook & loop closures for internal kneepad inserts, buttonfly with a drawstring, bellowed-calf storage pocket, and forward-tilted cargo pocket.

| Customer Reviews: Multicam rocks September 4, 2010 Jane (USA) Mil-spec constructed ACU pants in Multicam.
These are good pants that, with a little more quality control at the factory--I am talking to you guys at Propper--could be really great pants.
I was doing kettlebell squats the day that I got them and one of the seams sprung where the button-fly meets the crotch and splits into two different directions. No tearing or ripping of the fabric at all. It was just poor quality control on the sewers end. It very much looks like it was done too fast and there was no visual follow-up to ensure that the threading was properly terminated. Hence the stitch just unraveled under pressure. I easily hand-stitched them back up using a nearly identical colored thread. Maybe I was just 'lucky' to get this pair sent to me and the stitching is normally fine.
Also, have the QC manager take a look at the velcro tabs on the thigh pockets. It's lazy craftsmanship. It's obvious that if I were to use those pocket flaps regularly that the Velcro tabs will start to unravel at the stitch line. Just stitch it all the way to the end of the tab. Better yet--switch to buttons.
The description that Propper provided on Amazon claims the pants are made of 50% cotton--50% nylon. This may be an error. The ACU pants themselves claim on the care label to be 65% polyester--35% cotton--ripstop of course. Either the product description or the pants label is wrong.
These Multicam ACU pants warn the user to not use optical brighteners but do mention whether or not they received any treatments. Are they treated or not, Propper?
In spite of the annoying manufacturing flaws, the confusion of the two different ripstop blends and the silly velcro for the thigh pockets, these are still mil-spec multicam pants. Other than the poor sewing on the tabs and crotch, they appear to be fairly all-around tough pants. I like the ankle pockets, personally.
Multicam is some cool camo and really plays games with the eyes depending on what colors are around you. I like this pant and its print and use these as my complete workout pants for biking, hiking, kettlebell swings and martial arts practice. I appreciate the distinctive and visually tricksy multicam pattern and how it gives me a low visual impact when I am on the beach or in the woods. Not to mention that my multicam gear makes all the boys extremely jealous. ;)
To the folks at Propper: switch the velcro, aka hook-and-loop closure--on the thigh pockets to buttons, watch the poor quality, lazy sewing in some places and get your labeling info sorted out, and you'll have a five-star combat sport and military pant.
